Depth of the involved tissue (superficial-full layer), Development process (acute-chronic), Cause (diabetic, venous, pressure, etc.), Infection status (clean-infected) Condition of the wound (eschar, necrotic, granulated, epithelialized, etc.) can be classified in different ways.

Chronic Wound

Chronic Wounds are wounds that heal late or poorly or that do not heal. (no improvement at 6-8 weeks or no signs of improvement at 4 weeks). Usually, there is an underlying cause that delays healing (vascular problem, diabetes, infection, radiation damage, compression, malnutrition, etc.).
